• A grill team is any group of people that can cook 30 or more steaks and owns or rents their own rig or grills.  (Steaks are provided to teams by event organizers.)

  • Each Grill Team will receive a space to accommodate the size of their rig/grill(s).  If you have a certain space you want (returning teams only) PLEASE NOTE IT IN THE REGISTRATION APPLICATION.  Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

  • Teams are required to use charcoal or wood.  Gas grills are not permitted. 

  • Grill Teams are requested to pre-register before December 15th. 

  • Grill Team Applications received after all available Grill Team slots are filled will be placed on a waiting list.  In the event another Grill Team cancels, your team will be able to take their place.

  • Judging is done in a double blind fashion to uphold the integrity of the competition.   

  • The Sunshine State Steak Cook-Off Organizers are mostly volunteers doing our very best to make this a fun and exciting event.  All proceeds benefit education scholarships for children in our community!  We ask you to be a good sport and an ambassador for the event and your team.  

  • We hope you have a great time and make many new friends while you compete and cook for the judges and our event ticket holders.
